Capt's Log :: June-uary 32nd

Um, does anyone have light?

And some extra candles?

We have all the lights turned on in the house today, and it still isn't helping to combat the day's darkness.

Maybe some kind soul has a polar fleece they aren't using in regions East of here?

Is there still such a thing as the sun? It's been talked about that it's still in existance, but i'm pretty certain that is just a vicious rumour.

Now if you'll excuse me, i need to head back out to the garden for my 4th "shower" of the day, and tend to my "uttmost" favourite chore of a Seattle gardener of all: picking those large, brown, nasty slugs out of our lettuce while i get soaked to the core.

Once i'm well covered in slug slime, it'll be time to come in and fire up the tea kettle and the furnace of all things, for cryin' out loud!

In Seattle, we might just celebrate a different independence day this year. The day the forecasts read that high pressure moves into the region and we reach 80 degrees and they don't to expect rain for 3 weeks--that will be our independence day. Hooray!

Good news is, that maybe with it being so wet this year, we won't have to worry about all our neighbours setting the house on fire with their private fireworks displays surrounding us and i'll be able to go to bed before 2am.

There's always a silver lining, i suppose, eh?
