Our New Desk

Thank Goodness the painting on this monster is done. For a few days there i was looking like a coal miner! ;o) And thanks to my bro in law for coming over to help Hubbie lift it up to the second floor and install it in our old dining room.

Today was extra special too, because we saw a whole family of Evening Grosbeaks on the birdfeeder! There was a pair of American Goldfinches too, but i couldn't get a picture of them because the grosbeaks kept harassing them. :o\

This is the male

Here he is with a female...sorry the focus isn't that great, but you get the picture.

Males of the animal world are soooo much prettier than the females. It's just not fair to those poor girl birds. After all, they lay eggs, shouldn't they get something for that? ;o)

And, since my desk is sooo attractive looking now, maybe i should give it a boy's name. Huh. I'll have to think about that.
