A Study of Two Mountains

I caught Mt. Baker waking this morning....

and even though it is a dreary day here in the South Sound, up Northwestern WA will be having a chilly, yet wonderfully sunny day!

It is so funny to see...the front of cloud cover is sitting right above us, stretching into Renton, Issaquah, Tukwila, and South Seattle. Yet just above Bellevue it seems the clouds have disappeared. Then, you notice this glowing, snow covered handsome mountain!
At the other end of the state, Mount Rainier was putting on a show for us Friday and Saturday.
Friday sunset on Mount R.
It's part of the huge Cascade range that seems to sit above the Green River Valley.
And yesterday, it was so cold out, it seems to have needed a coat of clouds to keep it warm. :o)
